On Armenian Street, where Singapore's first Botanic Garden once stood, we grew a crocheted garden of the plants and creatures that could have lived there. The panels echo the colours of the Peranakan tiles nearby.

Up every National Day. For SG60 we made it a three-phase walkthrough (past, present, future), closing with a Unity in Diversity bench, an invitation to reflect on cosmopolitan Singapore.

On the old railway truss bridge at Bukit Timah, we hung the black steel with crocheted blankets, flowers, bees, and fat mushrooms. Chill was a reminder to enjoy the little things, inspired by the patchwork blankets children are given by their grandparents.

At Pangsua Pond, we lined the boardwalk railings with crocheted butterflies, a caterpillar, dragonflies and ladybugs. Each butterfly was built from hundreds of flowers, every one made by a different hand, because nobody stands alone.
