The Reading Nook is open at Fusionopolis One

The garden is in. After months of crocheting at home and at meetups, the plants have come together as the Reading Nook, a quiet corner at Fusionopolis One. It is open from 5 to 23 October 2026, and you are welcome to sit in it.

Come and sit down

The Reading Nook is a place to slow down. There is a bench to sit on, and a garden of plants that will never need watering. Bring a book, or just sit for a few minutes and take a break from your day.

You will find it in the lobby on level 1, near the main entrance from the drop-off point. Fusionopolis One is at 1 Fusionopolis Way, a short walk from one-north MRT station.

Every plant was made by hand

Every plant in the Nook was crocheted by someone in our community. Twenty-eight makers worked on it, and together they made 50 plants. Some had never crocheted a plant before, and learned how to shape leaves and petals along the way.

Look closely and you will find a pitcher plant sitting on the bench, and a lotus pond ringed with monstera leaves. The idea came from the gardens at the Singapore Garden Festival. You can read how the project started in our first post about Crochet Garden.

Please look, and please leave the plants

Photos are very welcome, so share them and tag us on Instagram at @yarnbombingsg. The plants would like to stay in the garden until the end, though, so everyone who comes after you can enjoy them too. The Nook comes down on 24 October.

If you missed it at Fusionopolis One, the Reading Nook has a second stop. It comes to Punggol Coast Mall, in Punggol Digital District, from late November until 18 December 2026. Details are on the Crochet Garden project page.

Want to make something next time?

If you already crochet and the Nook makes you want to join in, come to one of our meetups. We meet once a month at a public spot around Singapore. Bring a hook and some yarn. You can also see the whole project, with photos of the plants, on the Crochet Garden project page.
